Cashew Nut Halwa is one of the most favorite sweet/ dessert to all of us. But we often buy it from shops in which we don't know the quality of the ingredients used. Instead, we may prepare this unique dessert in some special occasions like poojas, anniversaries, birthdays etc.
But there is no need to wait for a special occasion to enjoy this rich and tasty recipe and here is a little simpler version (my version) of Kaju Halwa/ Mundri Halwa.

Cashew Nut Halwa
Grind soaked cashews with required quantity of milk. Cook this grounded cashew & milk paste for at least 30 minutes in ghee or till all added ghee separates. We will be ended up with a rich - tasty cashew halwa. Without wasting our time lets start our sweet journey.
Ingredients
- Cashews - 100 grams (soaked overnight)
- Sugar - 100 grams (may increase as per your taste)
- Ghee - 100 grams
- Milk - 100 ml
- Saffron milk - ¼ cup (soak a pinch of saffron in ¼ cup luck warm milk)
How to make Cashew Nut Halwa?
Soak cashews overnight or for at least 1 hour in hot water so that it will grind well to smooth paste.
In a mixer jar, add soaked cashews and milk. Grind them to a smooth paste.
Heat a heavy bottomed pan and add ghee and the grounded paste. Stir continuously so as to prevent sticking at the bottom. Cook for at least 30 minutes in low flame.

Now add sugar, a pinch of salt, food color (optional) and saffron milk. Combine well and stir continuously till ghee separates. That's all! Our rich & delicious dessert is ready now.
Tips
- Soak cashews well so that it will grind to a smooth paste.Â
- You may add water to grind and cook but it will not taste as similar as milk.
- Since cashew paste is very smooth and sticky, it easily will stick to the bottom of the pan; So stir continuously and cook in low flame throughout the process. Also opt a heavy bottomed pan or vessel.
- It is a slow cooking and time consuming process, so please try this recipe if you feel ok to stand before the stove for at least 30 to 40 minutes. Then you will surely be ended up with a delicious dessert in your hand.
