Falooda is a cold dessert made with rose syrup, vermicelli, basil seeds, milk and ice creams. Here is a diabetic friendly healthier version of our falooda!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Grated papaya
– 1⁄2 cup Grated Apple
– 1/4 cup Orange Pulp
- 1 /2 cup chopped Guava
– 1⁄4 cup grated Cashew and Pistachios
- 1 cup whisked curd
- 1 scoop thick set curd
Take 1 cup milk in a heavy bottomed pan and let it simmer to half. Let it cool to warm. Add 1 teaspoon of curd and mix well. Leave it for 8 hours or overnight. Place it in fridge to cool. Our thick set curd is ready to scoop!
Thick Curd
Instead of Vermicelli use grated papaya and apple. You may use your choice of fruits. Make sure all your choice of fruits are sweety so that no need of white sugar. Lets start setting our falooda.
Make a layer of grated papaya. Then add soaked gond katira.
Now add chopped guava and one more layer of grated papaya.
Now add one layer of soaked sweet basil seeds and then a layer of orange pulps. Make sure that the orange tastes sweet not tangy.
Add a layer of grated apple. Now pour our whisked curd. If you wish, you may add a small teaspoon of honey with this curd while whisking.
Add a scoop of thick curd on top of our falooda. Sprinkle grated cashews and pistachios. Enjoy our diabetic friendly, gut healthy royal falooda!
