Moong Dal Halwa is one of the delicious and easiest homemade halwas. As moong dal is an all-time available ingredient in our homes, no need to search for more from pantries.
Dry roast moong dal till nice aroma and golden brown.
If you have a high-power mixer or blender then grind the dry roasted moong dal to a fine powder. Else, soak it till soft. Then grind to a fine paste. Add sugar, cardamom powder and water into it. Grind to combine well.
Now, heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan and roast broken cashews to a nice golden color.
Then add the grounded moong dal-sugar paste into it and stir it frequently to avoid sticking at the bottom.
Continue stirring till the ghee oozes out and the halwa rotates with the ladle.
